lifestyle medicine interest groups
Lifestyle Medicine is one of the newest and fast emerging medical specialties. Trainees help spread the word about Lifestyle Medicine by starting Lifestyle Medicine Interest Groups (LMIG) and hosting community events. The establishment of an LMIG cultivates multi-institutional, trainee-initiated programming that supports healthy habits for students, faculty, as well as the local community. PCLM’s LMIG members have started student-led, faculty-supported groups across the country and have been instrumental in advocating for integrating lifestyle medicine in their practice. LMIGs are the perfect way to connect, share ideas, collaborate on projects and learn how to practice Lifestyle Medicine.
