STEP 1
Register for the requisite courses.
Note: Confirmed registration in the course marks your official training in lifestyle medicine.
LIFESTYLE MEDICINE COMPETENCY COURSE
This course is open for registration anytime. You can work on the online component of the training (self-paced) before joining the scheduled preceptorship (see details below).
Training cost: P20,000.00
LIFESTYLE MEDICINE BOARD REVIEW COURSE
The Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review Course 3rd Edition is a course designed to successfully prepare candidates for the lifestyle medicine board examination (national & international).

Course Fee: $499
Note:
  • Optional course for the National Board examinees
  • Required course for the International Board examinees
​The Board Review Course Manual is available in printed form and online within the American College of Lifestyle Medicine learning management system. The manual consists of 10 sections, Lifestyle Medicine key articles, appendix, index, detailed graphics, tables and figures, and over 120 quiz questions. Each of the ten sections have corresponding quiz questions available to complete in the paper copy of the book and online via the ACLM LMS. Enrollees will be required to read the material and complete the quiz questions via the online course to receive their certificate of completion.
STEP 2
Sign up for PCLM membership.
Membership is only open to trainees, including residents under Family Medicine Integration track.
(Note: The membership certification usually takes 30 working days for releasing. You may proceed to the next steps after your membership application submission.)
STEP 3
PRECEPTORSHIP
  • Virtual training sessions
  • All registrants of the Lifestyle Medicine Competency Course are automatically enrolled in the preceptorship program. Kindly anticipate email to receive the invitation link to join the program.
  • New applicants (2023) will be scheduled to join the last preceptorship batch for 2023 (August 2023-March 2024).

Virtual training schedule:
Sundays 6:00-9:00 pm (1-2 meetings/month)


IMMERSION PROGRAM
  • Immersion program is conducted virtually or in-person. Kindly anticipate email updates for the immersion registration.
STEP 4
LIFESTYLE MEDICINE CME CREDITS
Gather live and on-demand 60 CME credit from PCLM events (Postgraduate Course, Grand Rounds, Midyear and Annual Conferences) and LM Foundational Courses (Culinary Medicine, Physical Activity Science, Lifestyle Medicine Coaching).

December 3-6, 2023 - Annual Convention (Clark)
Note: CME credits should come from any on-demand/virtual. At least one in-person CME credit is required for experiential track, and two (2) for educational track.

OPTION 1: CERTIFIED LIFESTYLE MEDICINE PHYSICIAN

OPTION 2: NATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION EXAM
Only Filipino citizens are eligible to take the National certification exam.

OPTION 3: NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL BOARD CERTIFICATION EXAM
Filipinos who are licensed to practice in the Philippines should choose the Tier 3 exam rate which already covers the National and International Theoretical Exam segments. 
Non-Filipino citizen examinees who are currently residing in the Philippines should check their Tier category (1 or 2).

REPEAT EXAM
​Repeat Exam is intended to those who were not able to pass the previous certification exam.

CERTIFICATION/LMBE APPLICATION
Only those who have filed their application for the LMBE will receive updates on the exam.
